‘Botanica’ at Bedford Gallery through Sept. 6. “Botanica: All Things Plant Life,” a national juried exhibition in the Bedford Gallery at the Lesher Center for the Arts, continues through Sept. 6. “Botanica” showcases a love of nature and a concern for its protection and survival. From 16th Century Flemish painters to Cezanne and the post- Impressionists, the color and variety found in plant life, as well as the potent symbolism, have served as artistic inspiration.

Artistic director Dr, Martin Benvenuto, conductors Laryssa Sadoway and Julie Fischer and the chorus will celebrate new beginnings and reflect on seasons past, The young singers will perform an eclectic Mass, with each movement set by a different European composer, selections from Randall Thompson’s “The Place of the Blest,” the awe-inspiring Pentatonic Alleluia, and an exuberantly rhythmic Bonse Alba sterling silver small ballet shoe stud earring component, priced per pair, ballet jewelry, gift for her, stud earring component, from Zambia, In fulfilling one of Benvenuto’s visions for the chorus, a newly formed Honor’s Men’s Ensemble will debut at this winter concert..

The entire ensemble participates in an exhausting array of physical feats, including an awe-inspiring sequence of fairies “flying” Titania onto various ensemble members, and at one point, assembling into a human stilt to create a towering Titania. Tristan Cunningham (Hermia) also surprises with her physical dexterity. The former circus performer makes falling off a ladder seem a fun and graceful affair. All performers meet the physical demands of their roles while furthering Shakespeare’s story. Of special note is Margo Hall (Bottom), who not only looks great in her donkey outfit but also manages to be alternately bombastic and vulnerable. In a hilarious bit for the play-within-a-play, Catherine Castellanos (Snout/Wall) had the audience laughing so loud on opening night that many had tears in their eyes.

Lamb is more like the cook who’s whipping up a gourmet meal with whatever ingredients she’s already got in the fridge, It’s not all ad-hoc though, “I often start with improv,” Lamb says, “I usually come in with two or three movement phrases that I’ve generated on my own body to give (performing dancers) an idea of what I’m looking for, Then I try to see if I can generate more through them by directing verbally, I definitely know when something is sterling silver small ballet shoe stud earring component, priced per pair, ballet jewelry, gift for her, stud earring component, right or interesting as a shape or if it belongs in a specific place in the dance.  It’s not something you can plan ahead of time, you have to search for it.”..
